The original walled garden of Glenfield hospital very much inspired the route in which was taken for this design. We used a traditional layout which revolved around a 1.8m repurposed cattle bowl. A variety of herbs and espalier fruit trees filled the borders with scent and edibles which added a subtle sensory element for the patients. Roses and Clematis were planted to eventually grow up sections of the trellising we designed and bespoke benches created seating areas for people to sit quietly and enjoy the water.
